MB Rajesh

Working his way up from the grass-roots of the

political system, MB Rajesh belongs to the Communist Party

of India (Marxist). Rajesh was elected to the Lok Sabha from

the Palakkad constituency of Kerala in 2009 and is a

Member, Committee on Energy.

Born in 1971, he has been associated with the

Student Federation of India, and the Democratic

Youth Federation of India.

A dedicated Left-thinker and advocate by profession,

he has written extensively on the socio-political problems that

plague the country, and is the editor of a Malayalam monthly

called Yuvadhara. As an activist, he has taken to the streets on

numerous occasions to protest against the commercialisation

of education, among other things. He has written numerous

articles on various subjects in newspapers and periodicals

and is an eloquent public speaker.

He is a music aficionado.
